While your Alen® air purifier is the powerhouse that pulls in 99.9% of particulates surrounding you, our HEPA grade filters are the warehouse that captures and stores these tiny irritants.

Alen® filters use a dense network of randomly arranged fibers to trap tiny, harmful particles. This process is standard for filters using HEPA material, capturing particles like household dust, hair, pet dander, pollen, mold spores, bacteria, and much more.
We also have filters that trap odors within a honeycomb layer, containing a blend of specially treated, proprietary granular carbon and odor catalyst beads.
Filters with an efficacious carbon layer trap harmful chemicals released from wildfire smoke, cigarette smoke, vaping, and other VOCs released from candles and household cleaning materials.
All of our filters are made from medical-grade HEPA material, but some of our filter contain additional material to capture particulates beyond what HEPA captures.
Pure: strictly HEPA material.
Fresh: contains added carbon layer.
VOC/Smoke: contains added carbon layer.
Odor: added honeycomb layer that contains a blend of specially treated, proprietary granular carbon and odor catalyst beads.
Although a filter's lifespan depends on the level of usage and each environment, here is a general breakdown:
Pure filters are the longest lasting and are rated and tested for 9-15 months. Fresh, Odor, and VOC/Smoke filters all containing carbon have a slightly shorter lifespan of 6-10 months.
