"The previous design with a removable pre-filter was great at trapping large dust particles which significantly extends the life of the main filter. The new thin screen pre-filter doesn't trap dust particles, it only traps bigger items like pet hair. See below for pictures after 2-3 weeks of old pre-filter vs new pre-filter. I expect more stages of filtering, not less in a premium air filter. Seems like a tactic to sell more filters. You can do better Alen."

"The previous “Ultimate” type filter with added carbon weighed about double what the new one does. Also the new “ultimate” and “advanced” filters weigh basically the same. I am skeptical whether the new filters will work as well for as long (old style said ~12 mo. ). I’m disappointed with the change."

"This air filter does tbe trick. I live in a mountain region where woodstoves and prescribed burns happen almost daily. The machine and filter in my bedroom helps me sleep. I swap out the filter every 6 months, but if you don't live in smokey conditions, the filter might last much longer. Worth it for clean air."
"I use the filter for smoke and pets in my 45i but the notification still says I have poor air qualiry in the living room. Almost every day (now that its getting warmer) I open several windows in the house for a cross breeze. Other than getting my husband to smoke outside (which itn’t going to happen) is there anything else I can do? Once a week I open the unit and vacuum the accumulated dog hair. Thank you"
