Will this filter also fit in Breathsmart Flex unit? I purchased this filter w carbon and put it in my new Flex unit- Seemed to fit just fine-

How often should you change the filter
The BreatheSmart 45i filters last anywhere from 9 to 12 months.
I just purchased the Alen BreatheSmart 45i at a big box store. Which filter type comes in the box with the unit?
If you purchased your 45i air purifier from Lowes, then you would have purchased either the 45i Pure (B4-Pure) or Fresh (B4-Fresh) filter. The filter type is labeled on the side of the filter.

how do I use pre filter
All of our filters come with a Prefilter attached. On the BreatheSmart 45i filters, the prefilter is the black-mesh attachment with Velcro on the front of the filter. The prefilters' job is to catch the larger dust and debris from clogging your main filter. We recommend vacuuming the prefilter regularly, about once a month, to keep your filter and purifier running optimally. However, some customers (especially those with a lot of furry pets) prefer to replace the prefilter instead.
