I'd rate this higher except for the price of each replacement filter seems to be way out of line, even with the slight discount (?) with auto renew for the lifetime warranty. "My house is very dusty, and the configuration of my HVAC system does not allow a whole-house filtering system. This filter is the next-best thing I have found. my main concern is particulates, and this filter does a good job of filtering them out. After replacing the filter and checking after a few days, it is concerning to see what we would be breathing!"

Does the light-colored side of filter face the front ? I'm replacing a very old dirty filter.
The front side of the filter has a black mesh layer, known as the prefilter, which should be facing out when inside the purifier. The white accordion material should be facing toward the inside of the purifier. The pre-filter covers the exterior of your purifier’s filter to capture larger particles such as dust and hair.
